Today my son Jeffery passed away. He had cancer. I was there on his deathbed when he reflected his life to me. He told me that he had a pretty good life, except for his job. He told me that he loved his wife and daughter and that he loved his childhood because it was filled with happiness and joy. I felt sad and broke into tears. I couldn't believe that he was really passing away
In his final stage of his life Jeffery went through Integrity vs. Despair. He looked back in his life and realized that he did many good deeds and that he was a great person. This gave him the sense of satisfaction and of wisdom. If someone fails in this stage they would be filled with regret and failure.
During my sons life I proved that my theory of developmental stages of psychosocial were right.
